What is MyArts?

MyArts is your University homepage. It provides a single online access point to the many University resources to help you every day. It gives you a quick and direct route to the information you need and keeps you up to date with what's going on.

MyArts can be described as a 'portal' - a gateway to the University. It helps you to get from A to B and find some fun stuff on the way.

The story so far

MyArts was launched in April 2009 to replace the old intranet page and as a first step to a fully-fledged portal. It was designed and built by the University's Web Team after many conversations with the Core Portal Project Team, the Students' Union and IT Services. After the launch we received a lot of feedback and improvements were made, but there's still a long way to go.

At the moment MyArts is a page with a simple set of links to University services, news, events and job listings. We have just refreshed the design and are about to start developing new features.

We need your feedback to improve MyArts and make it more useful for you. Your thoughts and ideas will shape the content and design process. Please email - We are relying on your input to make sure we produce what you want.

The future Portal

Alongside the improvements to the design there is a broader portal project to transform MyArts into a more advanced portal. The future version will connect different University information systems and make them available to you through a single secure login point.

Launching Student Self Service for online enrolment for 2011/12

What do you need to do to enrol online?

  • Set up your University email account; this can be done via Webmail.
  • Check your University email account regularly as you will receive notification of when you can enrol online.
  • Pay your fees online via payments.
  • If you are starting a new course you will need to confirm that you have met the conditions of your offer by sending proof of qualifications met to your college office.
